Overview
The Marka Valley in Ladakh, which is the one of the one of the most popular trekking route in Ladakh region. It is approachable from Ganda La pass near Spituk in the west and Gongmaru La pass near Hemis. Makhna River, which is passes to the south of the Stok Kangri Mountain.

It is 12 nights and 13 days package, covering the destinations such as Zinchen, Yurutse, Skiu, Markha, Hankar, Nimaling, Shang Sumdo, and Hemis.
Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive Delhi
On your arrival at the Delhi Airport/Railway Station, be welcomed by our representatives and get transferred to your hotel. Check in, at the hotel. Rest day is free at leisure, you can roam around the nearby places or you can explore the popular markets. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 02: Delhi - Leh (3500 m)
Early morning, transfer to the airport to board your fight Leh. On arrival, check-in at your pre-booked hotels and have the breakfast at hotel. Rest day is free just relax and keep your body to adjust the high altitude. In the evening you can roam around to the markets of the Leh, where you can buy the ethnic jewelry made from the coral and pearls. Spend night at the hotel in Leh.
Day 03: Leh - Spituk - Zinchen (3200 m - 4 hrs)
Post breakfast, proceed to Spituk , which is located at the distance of approximately 8 kilometers away from Leh. This is the beginning point of the Markha Valley Trek. Explore the 11th century Buddhist Gompa and enjoy the surroundings of the place. Later, cross the Indus River and enter the valley of the Zinchen River. Stay overnight in a camp at a nearby village.
Day 04: Zinchen -Yurutse (3844 m) in 5 h.
After breakfast, proceed for trekking toward Yurutse via Stok-Kangri and Stok-La, cross the Indus River and enter the valley of the Zinchen River. After full day trek, you reach Yurutse. Set your camp, and overnight stay at Yurutse.
Day 05: Yurutse - Ganda La (4900 m) - Skiu (3510 m - 7 hours Approx)
Post early breakfast, proceed to Skiu via Ganda La. Trek along the mountainside, cross a small valley and pass over Ganda La following steep zigzag path. Thereafter, descend to Shingo. With 2 hours of descend, you arrive at the Markha valley. Then after trek of few hundred meters you reach at Skiu. Reach your camp here for an overnight stay.
Day 06: Skiu - Markha (3850 m - 7 hrs)
That involves a number of river crossings across the Markha River. At times the water may be low solely depending on the weather conditions.Ccamp near the Markha village with its green fields on the banks of the Markha River. Overnight at hotel.
Day 07: Markha - Hankar (4000 m - 4 hrs.)
In the morning, after breakfast star your trek to the main valley, on the right side of the river bank. At times the trek becomes difficult due to high current of the river. Visit the Humlung monastery. Thereafter, continue with the trek towards the right bank of the river and reach Hankar. Here you may interact with the inhabitants. Camp is to be set here for overnight stay.
Day 08: Hankar - Nimaling (4650 m - 4 hrs)
After breakfast, trek across a valley on the right side of the river bank. As you move further, the valley becomes narrow and higher. On the left bank of the river, you cross bridges to reach Tchatchuste. From here, ascend towards pastures and reach Nimaling. This is the most picturesque valley in Ladakh, providing mesmerizing view of the Kang Yatze (elevation 6,400 meters). Overnight stay at Camp.
Day 09: Nimaling - Kongmaru La (5150 m) - Shang Sumdo (3750 m - 7 hrs)
Post breakfast .cross the valley of Markha and proceed with long climb along the mountain side. Reach Kongmaru La, crossing the zigzag road. With steep descent into canyons, continue to trek to the left bank of the river to reach Chukirmo. Later, cross the right bank and then left bank of the river to arrive at Shang Sumdo. Shang Sumdo is a beautiful camping spot in groves. You may also visit a monastery that is nestled at a distance of an hour from the village. Return to the camp for overnight stay.
Day 10: Shang Sumdo - Hemis (3600 m - 4 hrs Approx)
After breakfast, proceed to Hemis, Hemis monastery is a Tibetan monastery is the one of the biggest in Ladakh which is located approximately 45 kilometers from Ladakh. The existence of this monastery was before 11th century but it was rebuilt 1672. the honor of Lord Padmasambhava; every year this monastery host the cultural and traditional festival, the most famous attraction of the festival is its mystic mask dances which are significantly known as Chams. Overnight at Camp.
Day 11: Hemis - Thikse - Shey - Leh
In the morning, leave the camp to visit Shey Monastery. This monastery is popular Shey monastery, famous for A 12 meter high copper statue of Gautam Buddha which is gold plated and covers three stories in the building is the main attraction of this Palace. Later, proceed to Thikse (Thiksey) Thiksey, one of the largest monasteries in Ladakh, houses the numerous temples and wall paintings dedicated to Lord Buddha. Then visit Leh Palace I located the old town sits in the shadow of a hill. This 19 stories high Leh Palace was constructed in 1553 AD and it was the one of the highest building of the world. Arrive at your hotel in Leh, check in, and freshen up. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 12: Leh - Delhi (by Flight)
In the morning after breakfast, transfer to Leh airport in time to board a flight to Delhi. As you reach Delhi, check-in at one of our listed hotels. Rest day is free at leisure. Enjoy a delicious dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 13: Departure from Delhi
